James Thomas, of Major Lane, was not the victim of vandalism that occurred on his property sometime Saturday night — his dog was.
Thomas awoke Sunday morning to find that someone had spray painted his dog.
The white dog had what appeared to be “Juan MX” painted in black spray paint on its side, Thomas said. The dog had been outside in Thomas’ three-acre yard, where it usually stays, when the incident occurred.
“Ever since Saturday night, we’ve kept her inside,” Thomas said. “I’d hate to see the little dog get hurt.”
No one has been charged in the case, according to a report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department.

A Hopkinsville man was arrested at around 5 p.m. Wednesday after a high-speed pursuit with police that ended during a chase on foot.

In an attempt to pull over Adonam Tyrone Manning, 27, of Poplar Street, on a warrant out for his arrest, police pursued Manning, who was fleeing from police, through the Kroger parking lot, down Skyline Drive, to Fort Campbell Boulevard and onto Woodmill Road.

Once at the railroad, Manning jumped from his car and fled from police on foot.

In the car with Manning was his girlfriend, Shanta Lewis, who is eight months pregnant with his child.

As an officer arrested Manning, Manning spit on the officer and yelled “I’m gonna get you,” according to police reports.

Manning is being charged with first-degree fleeing, two counts of wanton endangerment, third-degree assault, failure to pay child support, resisting arrest and intimidating a participant in the legal process.

Manning is being held at Christian County Jail.
