Man hospitalized after Lindsey Drive stabbing

The victim of an overnight stabbing on Lindsey Drive was hospitalized after
trying to break up a fight Wednesday night.
William White, 63, was stabbed in the lower back after attempting to take a knife from Billy Humphries, 63, at Humphries’ house. Humphries was in an argument with Laura Rondell, according to a Hopkinsville police report. Humphries was demanding money and sex from Rondell, according to the report. When Humphries pulled out a steak knife and threatened Rondell, White tried to take the knife from him, officials reported. White was cut on the left arm and stabbed in the lower back. White was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, according to a hospital spokesperson. He was later transferred to another hospital, but Jennie Stuart was unable to the name of the facility. White was in serious condition when he was transferred. Humphries was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication, disorderly conduct and first-degree assault.
